Show Summary
Adam opens the show with Jo Koy in studio, and the guys talk about securing music rights for Jo’s new special. They also talk about cruise ship comedy, singing Karaoke with Jimmy Kimmel, and screening Adam’s new standup special, ‘Not Taco Bell Material’. Adam then discusses the shows he prefers to watch with the volume off, and producer Chris talks about his early morning visit to Ralphs, which leads to a recreation of places where they pump the music in too loudly.
Van Lathan is in studio next, and Adam talks with him about terrible critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The guys then discuss randomly meeting at a party, the existence of Black Twitter, and making a lifestyle change when he weighed 370 pounds. Adam also recalls Teresa Strasser’s early days at TMZ, and the guys talk about the sacrifices Harvey Levin makes for his vision.
Gina begins the news talking about Bernie Sanders running for President in 2020. They also talk about Harvey Weinstein’s trial being delayed, the jersey of the future, and tennis legend Martina Navratilova being labeled transphobic. Other news stories include the death of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, a barber offering free haircuts in anticipation of the next North Korea Summit, and comedian Russell Peter’s helping to stop a jewel thief. As the show wraps up, Adam tries to get coached up for Black Twitter, and Adam and Shek bring today’s Good Sports.
