As the show opens up, Adam chats about taping his one-man show, ‘Not Taco Bell Material’. Jeff Cesario is also in studio, and the guys talk further about putting together a one-hour special, Adam’s trip to Portland, and displaying all 10 of his Newman cars at the San Marino Car Show. Chet Waterhouse then gives this week’s Sports Update, and the guys listen to some classic Spinal Tap songs. Up next, enjoy today’s Good Sports with Adam and Shek.
Derek Smalls is in studio next, and Adam talks with him about all of the people who are on his new solo album, and what his experiences in the music industry have been like since his days with Spinal Tap. They also chat about what people can expect at Derek’s upcoming live performance, what his youth was like, and why Spinal Tap doesn’t like opening acts. Later they talk about the documentary ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ being a hatchet job. Gina then begins the news talking about the recent summit between President Trump and Kim Jong-un. The guys also talk about the horse ‘Justified’ winning the Triple Crown, a pooping jogger caught in Australia, and Vince Vaughn’s DUI. As the show wraps up, the guys discuss Walmart’s new wine, and a new oyster-eating record.
Derek’s new album, ‘Smalls Change’, is available now on Amazon, Spotify and iTunes. You can also get tickets to his live performance in DC by visiting http://ticketmaster.com
