Show Summary  

Adam opens the show with Rob Riggle in studio. The guys talk about heavyweight boxing, Johnny Quest, and the types of people that everyone hates. Adam then tells the group about his experiences at The Arclight movie theater over the weekend, and Rob and Gina exchange stories about flying Southwest. Rob then talks about the greatest month of sports in today’s Riggle Report, leading to stories about fights in the NBA, early celebrations in the NFL, and the Rams currently being undefeated. Before Good Sports, the guys talk about ribbing athletes and sports announcers.

Chris Gethard is in studio next, and Adam talks with him about his poignant and cathartic stand-up special. The guys also discuss his new comedic motivational book, ‘Lose Well’, and advice to give to Adam’s twins. Chris then tells the gang about his initial attempts to pitch a TV show, having success on his own terms, and the weird world of public access TV.

Gina also compliments Chris on his podcast where he talks to strangers, and reads news stories about Rae Carruth’s release from prison, the Honduras caravan making its way to the U.S., and Pete Davidson’s first post-Ariana Grande public appearance. Other news stories include Elon Musk’s foray into underground public transportation, Amy Schumer boycotting the Super Bowl, and Paula Abdul tumbling off stage during a performance.  Later the guys talk about marijuana reform, Lindsay Buckingham suing Fleetwood Mac for kicking him off the latest tour, and a fur shawl gone viral. As the show wraps up, the gang comments on Marilyn Monroe’s Thunderbird going up for auction, and what Jim Morrison’s dad must have thought of his son.
