As the show opens up, Adam tells Bryan and Gina about the bird that’s attacking everyone just outside the studio. Adam also discusses where his mind went when he heard a politician use word ‘jejune’, and the guys play an 4th of July weekend themed round of the Rotten Tomatoes Game. Gina then reads news stories about the next night of the Democratic debate, Harvey Weinstein’s new legal team, and more charges against Kevin Spacey. Before the break, Gina also discusses a strange story about a woman charged with shooting her unborn child, and more troubles on the set of the new James Bond movie.
Larry Elder is in studio next, and Adam recalls how excited he was to see Larry at the Improv when he was performing a standup set. Larry compliments Adam’s standup abilities, and talks about his own experiences trying to do standup. Adam then gives Larry’s background growing up in South Central LA, and the guys get into not seeing yourself as a victim, and not being afraid of hard work. They also talk about the political divide, America’s over saturation with the same talking points, and being called a racist when you’re clearly not. In the last part of the show, the guys talk about reparations, and the truth about slavery.
