Adam opens the show talking about looking your best and practicing what your preach. He then discusses problems with the DVR, and the guys play a Holiday edition of Tales From The Cheap. Later, Adam rants about people who turn their brains off, liquid center cough drops, and employees who take time off right before vacation. Before the break, Adam and Shek present today’s ‘Good Sports’.
Tom Jennings is in studio next, and Adam asks him about the Patti Hearst kidnapping, and how that ultimately led to her becoming a bank robber. Adam also talks about taking a field trip that connects him to the Patti Hearst saga, and Tom goes into details about what Patti endured, and the ‘trial of the century’ that followed.
Gina then starts out the news discussing the cause of the train derailment in DuPont, Washington. They also talk about former Glee actor Mark Salling pleading guilty to possession of child pornography, UPS delays for the holidays, and statistics about women’s satisfaction at Christmastime. Other stories include yet another foot found off the Canadian coastline, and Pantone’s selection for 2018’s ‘Color of the Year’. As the show wraps up, the guys hear a heartwarming story involving an anonymous Santa’s good deeds at a WalMart.
