Adam opens the show with some sad news about a trio of deaths over the weekend that hit him personally. He also talks about Sonny’s basketball tryouts, and the father-son pep talk that followed. Soledad O’Brien calls in next, and talks about shuttling around her four children. They talk about her documentary, ‘The War Comes Home’, and how Veterans adjust to life after combat. Later, Adam rants about the media’s coverage of police brutality, and the guys listen to a clip of Adam and Mark Geragos discussing this very topic.
Next up, Adam takes fan phone calls about overbearing mother-in-laws, how often you should watch your clothes, and whether or not you can fill up your car while the engine is running. After that, Bald Bryan reviews ‘The Nice Guys’ for this week’s Baldywood. Gina then begins the news with the results of the Preakness Stakes. They also talk about wreckage found from the downed Egypt Air flight, Blake Lively’s ‘offensive’ tweet, and a gas station attendant who lost it on someone taking too long at the pump. As the show wraps up, Adam rants about a drunk driver that hit his car a while back, and Gina reads a news story about most Native Americans not being offended by the ‘Redskins’ team name.
Soledad and ‘The War Comes Home’ are having a one-day-only event this Tuesday, including Adam! Check out http://fathomevents.com for theater locations and more!
