At the top of the podcast, Adam talks with Dave Dameshek about the Pittsburgh Penguins winning their 5th Stanley Cup, and how it was overshadowed by the NBA finals. They also talk about the ‘Coachella’ pronunciation controversy, and Superfan Giovanni calls in with a revelatory clip from Cobra, featuring the director’s commentary. Adam also takes calls about Personal Achievement Day and the problems with braces. Later, Adam recalls attending the ‘Pretty in Pink’ premiere, and takes two more calls about their favorite post-season plays in any sport, and whether or not Greg Giraldo lifted a joke from Kimmel. Before the break, the guys listen to a clip from Adam’s upcoming interview with Roy Jones Jr., and Shek contemplates the future of cloning and sports.
Sean Donnelly is in studio next, and Adam talks with him about the origins of his podcast, ‘Defend Your Movie’. The guys talk about great movies, guilty pleasures, weird TV censorship, and then attempt to defend films like ‘Point Break’, ‘Speed’, and ‘Vanilla Sky’. Gina then reads updates about the congressional baseball practice shooting. As the show wraps up, Gary chimes in with breaking news that the Floyd Mayweather and Connor McGregor fight is officially confirmed for end of summer.
