At the top of the show, Adam asks Gina to tell the gang about her mini vacation to Palm Springs. The guys then take fan phone calls about falling asleep behind the wheel, why couples massages sound better than they are, correcting people who mispronounce things, and potential nicknames for Ray.
Charlamagne tha God is in studio next, and he chats with Adam about how awesome the podcast studio space is at Carolla Digital. Charlamagne then talks about his contractor dad, his path to success, and breaking through stereotypes. Charlamagne also discusses when he realized he was going to a dark place, and how he turned his life around. Later they chat about the time Charlamagne was fired from Taco Bell, knowing your own value, and his new book, ‘Black Privilege’.
Gina begins the news with more lawsuits filed against the organizers of the disastrous Fyre Festival. Charlamagne defends Ja Rule, and then the guys talk about Aaron Hernandez’s gang profile and suicide, and American Airlines taking away more leg room for added seats. As the show wraps up, the group chats about the positive side of fat shaming, Lonzo Ball’s new shoes, and a survey about how long people wait to have sex.
