Adam opens the show talking about trying to get the staff to eat all the leftovers from the weekend, including a very picky Andrew. He then talks about his editor going ‘on holiday’, and tries to think of the last time he went on a vacation that wasn’t somehow work related. The guys also talk about negligent parents, and play a round of Blah Blah Blog, along with Jo Koy. Bill Engvall calls in next, and Adam chats with him about his roots and how he got into comedy. They talk about his previous life as a Strip Club DJ, and the importance of getting reps if you want to be a successful comic. Later they discuss the origins of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, and the dangers of having bad ‘career cheerleaders’.
In the second half of the show, the guys take fan phone calls about Kimmel hosting the upcoming Emmy’s, keys to a lasting marriage, and Adam’s thoughts on Mike Ditka endorsing Donald Trump. They also discuss the meaning behind JV or All Balls. Gina opens the news with a breaking story that Erin Andrews just won big in her lawsuit against Marriott. The guys also talk about the recent Democratic debate, and the show wraps up with a story about Peyton Manning’s NFL retirement.
